Profiles: Oxhorn vs. Jonathan Coulton

Jonathan Coulton, whose musical stylings are similar to Oxhorn's in that he targets a geeky audienceJonathan Coulton is a singer/songwriter best known for his quirky songs about geeky culture. Many people may not realize that he is the one who wrote “Still Alive”, the popular Portal song that went viral.

Though he started as a spoof artist, doing cover songs such as a cover for sir mix a lot, he has since started producing original music, one of his most famous being “Code Monkeys”.

Jonathan Coulton ties into machinima due to his publication of songs under the Creative Commons License, which allows people to use his songs as they see fit, as long as it is not commercially. This has led to much machinima, particularly World of Warcraft machinima, being made set to his songs.

This is Oxhorn, author of roflmao and other geeky music, similar to jonathan coulton
