Well actually Sylvannis didn’t free them; a group of renegade undead became free of control on their own accord at first. Sylvannis was just the first to escape Arthas’ control. Arthas was losing his powers due to a problem in the Frozen Throne, which is why he went to the Lich King to retrieve his armor & soul in the first place. The Lich king was using Arthas all along so he could inhabit a body and be better protected from the Burning Legion who wanted him dead.

in a way, she did do exactly as this video shows. she led the newly undead down the path of the Forsaken, rather than the path of the Scourge.

do not get me wrong, i love oxhorn’s videos to death, but i feel i must clarify on the actual lore, being a total lore maniac(i am such a fanatic that i have read all several hundred pages of lore, played all the games, read all the books, and all the manga.) Sylvanis was the High Ranger of the High Elves, prior to the sundering of the Sunwell. in the attack when the Sunwell was ripped apart, Sylvanis was almost killed. Arthas (the Lich King) tore her soul from her body, then manipulated it and replaced it to do his dirty work. Sylvanis’ soul, however, was strong and determined. she resisted and broke free of Arthas’ control, becoming known as the Banshee Queen and vowing vengeance against Arthas for what he had done. she helped new undead find the path of the Forsaken, eventually befriending the Horde, and becoming another step closer to their goal of revenge on arthas.

lol this video is lamme cuz sylvannas, the natherazin i don’t remember the name and the other undead were already together under the command of the lich king, they just rebeled not that she went around ressurrectin people and talking to random demons… sylvanas is no night elf as some stated >_> she is sister to the windrunner(alleria), both high elves(blood if u wish)

I thought Sylvanas Windrunner was a Night Elf who kept chasing after Arthas. When she finally caught up to him, he whooped ‘er purple heiney but rather than giving her the peace of death he made her into a Banshee and forced her into his service. After a few more cutscenes in WC3:FZ Arthas’ power wains just enough that he loses control of Sylavanas (and others of the Scourge) causing her to bail and gather a few supporters and bam, the Forsaken. Of course, after all that Arthas went on to pop a squat on the frozen throne and thus the present state of WoWitics.
